101 Things About Me

What a great idea. Here is 101 things you may or may not know about me!!

1. I am the first grandchild on both sides of the family.
2. I have one sister, one half sister, and two step-brothers.
3. I have two cats.
4. I couldn't wait to go away to college. (OSU)
5. I failed miserably after only two quarters. (But, boy did I have fun).
6. I met Gary in July 1997 - We started dating in February 1998
7. He was my first real boyfriend.
8. I had an internet boyfriend in college, that I never met, but talked to on the phone.
9. I have never broken a bone.
10. My first job was at Arbys fast food restaurant and I worked there for two years.
11. It was the most fun I ever had at a job, all my friends worked with me and the crew leaders were young and we got to party with them.
12. I quit because I was given a .02 cent raise.
13. I used to smoke cigarettes.
14. Well, I have tried the other kind of cigarettes too.
15. I LOVE reality TV.
16. And I love CSI (Las Vegas ONLY).
17. I thought I had no talent or hobbies until a few months ago when I started scrapbooking. I think I finally found a hobby that I am good at.
18. My mom is one of my best friends.
19. Alyssa is one of my other best friends. (She listens the best without blabbing to everyone...LOL).
20. I was afraid to have children. (To be pregnant and to be a mom).
21. I don't know what I was so afraid of.
22. I really don't want to own a dog.
23. My husband is a dog-lover. (and this is a small problem between us).
24. I stay up way too late on the computer every night.
25. This is the reason for my sleep deprivation.
26. I have officially stopped taking the pill.
27. Of course, I am terrified.
28. If I ever have a baby boy, I do not want to name him Gary. (Another disagreement between hubby and I).
29. I bowl in a bowling league during the winter with my hubby.
30. I am recently addicted to Rice Krispy Treats. (The store bought ones).
31. My favorite restaurant is Outback. (Alice Springs Chicken is the bomb).
32. I was the first out of my friends to have a baby girl.
33. I thought for sure that Alyssa was a boy. (so much for mother's instinct...LOL).
34. I bought a house that looks exactly like my moms house. (My bedroom is bigger though, but she has a garage).
35. I Jazzercise three times a week.
36. I am still fat.
37. I love to eat (which is probably why I am still fat).
38. I am 5' 10" tall.
39. I do not keep junk.
40. I didn't vote in the last election. I do not follow the politics very well.
41. I work part time as a quality assistant for a company that repairs airplane parts.
42. It is a very interesting job and I love that I was given the opportunity to stay and only work P/T.
43. I only will drink cola pop (pepsi, diet pepsi, coke, diet coke).
44. I like apples and applesauce. I hate apple juice and apple pie.
45. I like ketchup and tomato sauce, but hate tomatoes.
46. If you can't tell, I am a VERY picky eater.
47. I fear heights, but love looking down.
48. Pizza is my favorite food. I could eat it every day.
49. I have extremely sensitive skin. (If I scratch an itch, I have red marks for an hour or so afterwards).
50. I can't believe this is so hard to think of 101 things and I am only half way through.
51. I love my husband with all of my heart.
52. I was married in November 2001.
53. My favorite number is 53. (It is not only my birthday -- May 3, but my maiden name initials on the phone dial -- LD and was the code I would leave in pagers in high school to indicate it was me).
54. I had a huge traditional wedding.
55. Gary and I lived together for 3 years before we were married.
56. I begged Gary to take my last name. (I didn't win that one).
57. It doesn't phase me anymore that my last name is Gross.
58. Alyssa and I go to Babynastics every week.
59. I am a coupon queen. I clip coupons and go to different stores for the sale items.
60. We went on a cruise and to Disneyworld for our honeymoon.
61. I have been to Canada.
62. I have only been on an airplane two times. (In June will make it three times).
63. I am not afraid of airplanes or flying.
64. I love watching scary movies with Gary, so I can cuddle in his arms.
65. I love the smell of popcorn, but can only tolerate eating a few pieces of it.
66. I had to have ice cream pretty much every day when I was pregnant.
67. I still love ice cream a lot!!
68. I would rather buy a DVD than go to the movies.
69. I love all kinds of music. It wasn't until Alyssa was born that I realized how great and relaxing classical music is.
70. I love to have a plan and be prepared.
71. I don't like to talk in front of groups of people. My face gets terribly red, even if I know exactly what I am saying.
72. My first major was Physical Therapy. My second major was Business. My third major was Education.
73. I am not in school right now and do not have any degrees.
74. At this point in my life, I don't know if I want to go back anymore.
75. I am too chicken to ever get a tattoo.
76. I played basketball for two years in high school.
77. Well, I warmed the bench. I would only get to play if our team was winning by fifty.
78. I love to blog and love all of my new recent readers. Of course, I love all of my readers that have been with me a long time. I always appreciate all of the comments.
79. My mom and dad were divorced when I was 7.
80. They are both re-married.
81. I went to 7 different schools while growing up.
82. I moved a lot more times than that!!
83. If possible, I don't ever want to move out of this house.
84. That would mean us building that garage we desperately need.
85. I don't have a TV in my bedroom.
86. My favorite movie is Dirty Dancing.
87. Gary and I saw Titanic on our first date.
88. I LOVE chocolate covered strawberries.
89. Spring is my favorite season.
90. My favorite colors are purple and blue.
91. I don't know if I want two or three kids.
92. I wear contacts. I am blind without them.
93. I have blue eyes.
94. I love to be organized and I love organizing with baskets!!
95. I love to read, but haven't read anything in a long time (since I always spend my extra time on the computer...LOL).
96. I have a small collection of precious moments. That is about the only thing that I collect.
97. I was fingerprinted once for stealing construction barrels with friends and moving them to other places.
98. I was in high school when that happened.
99. I have never gotten a speeding ticket. (Knock on wood).
100. I was 14 when my youngest sister was born. When I would take her to the mall, people asked me if she was my daughter.
101. I love my husband and my daughter very, very much. I wouldn't trade my life for anything in the world!!!
